Bill has over 43 years’ experience in telecommunications of which 30 years have been spent in mobile communications. He is a former CTO at the GSM Association, FirstMark Communications & one2one (now T-Mobile UK/EE). He holds Board Advisory roles in a number of mobile start-ups, as well as being the Chair of Judges for Global Mobile Awards. In our free time, when we aren’t working on mobile stuff, we’re actually doing a whole lot of other interesting things. Between us we: set up the GSM Foundation – a charity run by the GSMA to support the use of mobility for social and economic development; run our local scout group; run a local campaign for broadband, run the finances for our local village hall; sit on the board of school governors; help bring under-used spaces back to life (Hello Brixton Village!); Â create real life tech learning experiences for young people and one of us is Chairman of a social enterprise / VC supporting emerging entrepreneurs in the Creative Industries.
