Bill has over 43 yearsâ€™ experience in telecommunications of which 30 years have been spent in mobile communications. He is a former CTO at the GSM Association, FirstMark Communications & one2one (now T-Mobile UK/EE). He holds Board Advisory roles in a number of mobile start-ups, as well as being the Chair of Judges for Global Mobile Awards. Bill also worked for many years as a partner at a VC firm specialising in mobile investments.
With 30 years in telecoms R&D, start-up, operations, strategy, JV and mergers, Emin specialises in network cost-base and organisational transformation, business development and partnerships. He is a founding member and current Chairman of Azenby.
Phil is a technology specialist with 25 yearsâ€™ experience running development teams and delivering new products into the mobile market, including the first mass consumer prepay systems, the first deployment of MMS in Europe and advanced data traffic management across the DT group in Europe. He has worked at BT, Cellnet, MPCN, T-Mobile and Everything Everywhere where his last role was as Director of Product Development, Engineering and where he was pivotal in the T-Mobile / Orange UK merger.
Paul Chrisp has been in telecomms for over 15 years in a wide variety of functional areas. The senior-level roles he has held include IT, Wholesale, Commercial Management, Customer Services, Marketing, New Business Development, Strategy and Legal. The breadth and depth of his experience mean that he can not only drive change into specific functions, but also ensure that the overall objectives of the company are properly communicated and achieved.
Tim has a wealth of experience managing and leading large national teams, managing large third party contracts, leading transformational initiatives, managing multi million pound capital and operating budgets, contract negotiation, Key vendor relationship and operational management. He specialises in generic RAN design, test and validation, planning and delivery, outsourcing and network sharing. He has been working in Telecomâ€™s since 1996.
Charles has over 30 yearsâ€™ experience in security, preventing compromise, fraud, and theft of resources and is a regular keynote speaker who has worked with Industry and Governments at all levels. He has been Chairman at GSM Association Security Group for the past 25 years> He is also Chair of the ETSI OCG Security Group and various Government Panels. Formerly, he was Director of Standards & Technology at Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Head of Corporate Security at one2one and in BT Corporate Security.
David has worked in Telecom's since 1982 and in mobile since 1991. During this time he has performed a range of engineering, management and leadership roles for One2One/T-mobile/EE in the UK and Deutsche Telecom across Europe. Specialising in network design, development, planning and network with economics he has overseen the transformation of the the T-Mobile network in both customer quality and cost base. He played a pivotal role in the merger of the T-Mobile and Orange networks.
Julia has had 20 yearsâ€™ experience working with digital product & service innovation. She worked for T-Mobile from 1993 - 2005. Her specialisms are in Product Management, Development & Marketing, User Research, Innovation Management, Service Design, User Experience & Process Re-engineering. She is the Product Doctor, course founder at The Mobile Academy (UCL) & Co-organiser at Mobile Monday London
Andrew has over 35 yearsâ€™ experience in the telecomms and electronics industries. He spent 20 years in mobile comms and broadband with Unitymedia, Motorola, Videotron and one2one. Andrew has held senior strategic and operational positions in Supply Chain Management where he has dealt with the industryâ€™s major providers of Mobile Devices, Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), Network and IT equipment and services.
In our free time, when we aren’t working on mobile stuff, we’re actually doing a whole lot of other interesting things. Between us we: set up the GSM Foundation – a charity run by the GSMA to support the use of mobility for social and economic development; run our local scout group; run a local campaign for broadband, run the finances for our local village hall; sit on the board of school governors; help bring under-used spaces back to life (Hello Brixton Village!); Â create real life tech learning experiences for young people and one of us is Chairman of a social enterprise / VC supporting emerging entrepreneurs in the Creative Industries.
